The role:
We are looking for a generalist Systems Engineer to join our client's IT team in Dunedin. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in helping designing, implementing, and supporting IT infrastructure. You'll contribute to enhancing our client’s network, applications, and operating systems, while contributing to their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure encompassing hardware, hybrid, and cloud services.
- Resolve networking issues and deploy networking hardware to optimize performance.
- Manage virtual environments and oversee virtual server operations.
- Lead the migration of on-premises data to cloud platforms for enhanced scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support digital transformation initiatives

- Experience in installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing operating systems, networks, and programs on personal computers
- Confident in resolving networking issues including the set-up, configuration and deployment of networking hardware
- Firewalls knowledge
- Experience in managing, setting up, and maintaining virtual environments, and an understanding of virtual server management
- Experience migrating on-premises data to cloud
- An understanding of the software development lifestyle is beneficial
