The company:

A privately owned and operated company, that are committed to providing excellent IT support to clients across Dunedin. They operate as a Managed Services Provider, helping with personalised IT assistance and empowering companies with the newest technology

The role:

You will be joining a tight-knit team who are committed to providing excellent service to a range of clientele. Your work will be varied, and you will provide L1 through to L3 support for clients and troubleshoot their IT issues to full resolution.  This role will see you out visiting clients in the local Dunedin area and assisting a range of clientele from CEOs of companies to staff on the ground, so a high level of customer service is essential. Responsible for the deployment and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, you will also use your networking skills to complete the setup, configuration and deployment of switches and routers.
  
This is a full-time salaried role based in Dunedin, with 40 hours per week. There will be some travel required to client sites in the region.
  
What makes a good Systems Engineer?

To be successful in this position, you will have at least two years’ experience in a Desktop Engineer, ideally as a Managed Services Provider. You will hold a high level of customer service and be able to work in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet. You will be confident managing client relationships and be able to think outside of the box in providing technical solutions.

Additionally, you will have:
  • Experience using MS stack environments.
  • Confident resolving networking issues including the set-up, configuration and deployment of networking hardware
  • Knowledge in DHCP, DNS LDAP and Active Directory
  • Cyber and data security experience
