The Role:

Step into the role of a Software Developer where you'll love to problem solve within a market-leading company, making huge waves in their industry, focused on new feature development and operational enhancements. Your primary focus will be building new features, maintaining, and improving a sophisticated central piece of software, as well as a range of other products and projects, with a goal of creating tools with a huge benefit to society. 

This is a Christchurch-based role, with work from home flexibility, but cannot be fully remote.

About You:

You are an ambitious Software Developer, at an intermediate level, ready to utilize your skills in Python in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your drive for professional growth and ability to contribute positively to a team are what set you apart, with a serious drive to solve problems autonomously and collaboratively. 

Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python, preferably using Django, but other frameworks will be considered.
  • Broad, well-rounded programming experience, also using databases (SQL) within a Linux environment.
  • Experienced with software quality practices, including deployment pipelines, unit testing, and version control.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferably), and keen to explore data science or machine learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adept at following detailed compliance standards.
