About the role:
 
You will lead a small team based in Dunedin and play a pivotal role in leading a transformation programme within the healthcare sector.

You will be responsible for overseeing the District's programme of work, managing its overall budget and scope. Your role will involve ensuring all stream leads are working according to plan, managing various stakeholders for clear communication, and enabling effective decision-making processes. You will also be tasked with providing necessary reports to the national PMO and regional executives, engaging with wider groups on compliance matters, and actively managing programme risks.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversee the District's programme of work
  • Develop and manage the overall budget and scope of the programme
  • Enable effective decision making by organising workshops and seeking input from stakeholders
  • Test all the configuration changes being made to the payroll system and the remediation calculation
  • Coordinate with internal teams to implement these changes
  • Correspond with external vendors providing payroll services
  • Liaise with assurance providers to complete all the assurance requirements for the project
  • Provide the necessary reports to the national PMO and regional executives
  • Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies
 About you:
  • Proven experience in Programme Management of large and complex projects
  • A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with large teams
  • Formal project management qualifications
  • Experience in stakeholder management including dealing with unions
  • Experience managing finances of large projects worth millions
  • Experience working with third parties to deliver a project
