In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our IT infrastructure and systems align with the ongoing business requirements. You will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day operational activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet program deliverables. 

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Although working from home is an option, this is not a remote role. 
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for all IT environments
  • Ensure stability and optimal performance of infrastructure and systems
  • Collaborate with various teams to support work streams and programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults, implementing projects as needed
  • Provide IT infrastructure support across multiple locations, which may require after-hours work  
Requirements:
  • Proven technical knowledge of Linux, as well as other various IT infrastructure components:
    • Networking (IP addressing, VLAN segmentation)
    • Security protocols, hardware (IBM/HP/Dell), monitoring applications (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana), and identity access management
    • Virtualisation (VMware)
    • Container technologies (Swarm, Kubernetes (K8s), Docker)
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Freeradius & NGINX
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Possesses exceptional communication, persuasion, and technical writing abilities
  • Capable of both independent work and thriving in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated, taking a proactive approach to resolve challenges
  • Dedicated to continuous self-improvement and embracing opportunities to acquire new skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field
