The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Project Engineer to join our client on-site to drive and deliver some key pieces of work. In this role, you will lead, coordinate, and deliver key IT infrastructure projects, working closely with global IT representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs), and local IT teams. This is a hands-on position that requires strong project management, analysis, coordination and communication skills.

This opportunity is fully on-site in Dunedin.

About You
You are a self-starter with strong project management, coordination, and delivery focus. You have proven experience managing all stages of IT infrastructure projects, as well as delivering on the technical hands-on engineering work required. You should enjoy working with people, possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to explain technical terms in simple language. 

Requirements:
  • A solid background of driving IT infrastructure projects end to end, with a preference for experience in Azure based solutions.
  • Stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills, with ability to engage across the business as required for successful outcomes.
  • Manage the implementation of Microsoft solutions to replace existing technologies
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to ensure effective handover and project completion.
  • Networking experience, able to review and identify areas for optimisation.
  • Ability to lead efforts to reduce infrastructure and decommission servers, including migration to Azure.
  • Cloud Engineering and automation experience an advantage, but not essential for the right person
  • Microsoft certifications beneficial
