About the Company
Our client, a well-established and growing business, is seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Specialist to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment that encourages growth, innovation, and continuous learning.

About the role
You will be responsible for providing all round IT support across the business, ensuring high system reliability and prompt issue resolution. This includes managing ticketing systems and handling day-to-day IT queries. You'll also support ongoing projects and infrastructure upgrades under the guidance of senior IT staff.

This opportunity will offer a wide variety of challenges, with exposure to technologies at every level encouraging growth on a daily basis. 

It is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, based on-site in Christchurch, New Zealand and is note a remote opportunity. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline support to business users, troubleshooting IT issues and escalating where necessary.
  • Manage tickets through and assist with updates and queries both in person and remotely
  • Contribute to IT projects, including the maintenance and upgrading of hardware and systems.
  • Empower users by teaching them how to solve common problems and simplifying technical jargon.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Additionally you will have the following:
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop support and Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of networking (Fortinet and Unifi experience is a bonus)
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
