The role:

As a Desktop Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of our client’s IT systems while delivering outstanding support to their internal customers.

Your diverse responsibilities will include software installation and maintenance, hardware handling, and training and supporting end users. Additionally, you will provide front-line support to end users. 

What makes a good Desktop Engineer?

To be successful in this role, you will have ideally 3 years of experience in an IT Support or Service Desk position and are looking to further grow your career. You will enjoy working with people providing great customer service and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  
Additionally, you will have:  
  • Knowledge of PC operating systems - Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Experience problem-solving issues with Windows desktop and Microsoft Office environments, 
  • Understanding of virtual server management
  • Firewalls and Network connectivity knowledge
  • An understanding of Switch and router management
  • PowerShell scripting experience is preferred but not essential
