About the Role
In this role, you will guide customers towards optimal cloud architecture solutions, focusing primarily on Microsoft Azure and eventually including AWS. You'll be responsible for designing functional specifications, creating Azure reference architectures, and ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security across various projects.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based on-site in Christchurch and is not a remote role. 

Key Responsibilities
Acting as a go to within your team, you'll engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. You will lead the development of innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex cloud issues, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.

You'll maintain the health and security of cloud infrastructure, ensure compliance with SLAs, and engage with cloud service providers and vendors to optimise solutions. Your role also involves managing WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi networks, optimising connectivity and performance, and implementing network security measures.

About You
You have extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. You excel in customer-facing roles, possess strong hands-on skills, and have a pragmatic approach backed by best practices. Your excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, coupled with your ability to identify trends and share insights with the team, make you an ideal candidate.
Additionally you will possess the following:
  • At least five years managing server computers and networks in large organisations with complex ICT infrastructure.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft foundational system products, Active Directory, Group Policy, M365 services, Microsoft Server, and workstation operating systems.
  • Proven experience with public and private cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, focusing on operational administration, cost management, automation, and networking capabilities.
  • Sound knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls and malware protection systems.
  • Experience in IoT architecture is a bonus
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience with non-Microsoft cloud platforms and frameworks.
  • A formal tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
