The Role:

As a Development Lead, you'll be leading a tightknit Scrum team and helping drive the improvement of process, whilst using your experience to provide technical guidance to your team. You will also have some hands-on coding responsibilities, but will get the chance to mentor and work with a great range of people in a diverse environment, whilst collaborating with other teams in their Christchurch office to help the wider team succeed.

About you:

You'll be a Senior Software Developer, Technical Lead or Software Team Leader that loves mentoring and helping your team succeed, but you will also still enjoy the hands-on element of your work in coding. You'll thrive working in a Scrum environment, and have great soft skills that allow you to work with a range of people across a business and lead a team successfully. Having formal Team Leadership experience is not essential, but having the right skills to enable positive change within a team environment are preferred.


Along with your interpersonal, leadership and mentoring capabilities, you'll ideally possess experience in a combination of the following technical skills:
  • Modern C# .NET and experience in ASP.NET Core
  • APIs
  • Relational databases
  • Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • General front-end skills in JavaScript, preferably React, but other modern frameworks/libraries can be considered
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment
  • AWS/general cloud experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Work From Home flexibility and a true hybrid working environment
