The role
We are seeking a talented, people-oriented, Software Manager who can build, support, and lead high-performing development teams, provide expert technical guidance, and drive superior team performance. You will be responsible for delivering the cross-functional, innovative, engineering outcomes that keep this company at the forefront of their market.

  • As a valued member of the leadership team, you will be working together to deliver the outcomes needed to achieve company strategic goals, and resolve critical issues with breakthroughs, projects, process improvements and innovation ideas
  • Building, sustaining, and growing a high performing Software team that delivers superior technical outcomes
  • Leading, managing and improving all Software activities related to the architecture, design, development, and verification testing of new and existing products
  • Providing compelling people development and support, sharing expert technical guidance, driving strong technical team performance, and ensuring open, effective, cross-functional communications internally and externally
Skills required
  • Senior experience in Software – perhaps you are a seasoned Senior Developer and want to get off the tools to focus on strategy, and people management?
  • A passion for growing high performing teams
  • Knowledge of application and embedded software systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and make decisions
  • A passion for technology and design
  • A high level of emotional intelligence, including openness to experience, resilience, influencing skills, effective interactions
  • Self-motivated
  • Confidence with communicating to different audiences at different levels across the business
  • Proven experience in iterative software development environments, such as Agile/Scrum.
