Customer Support Specialists: A Day in the life:

On a typical day you’ll log into the phone queue, and over the course of the day take between 10-15 calls. In between calls you would address any backlog tickets or work on issues that require further action. Once a week, instead of phone queries, you’ll be responsible for the email queue, where you work through between 30-40 emails to resolve client requests.

Typical queries you’d be dealing with include:
  • Applying firewall changes and applying policies
  • Supporting and troubleshooting Local Area Networks, including switching, or managing access points
  • Actioning failed equipment returns
  • Dealing with general queries – network access etc.
This is a hybrid-work role, based in Christchurch with options for 2-3 days a week WFH

So what makes a good Customer Support Specialist?

Ideally, we’re looking for a budding Network Engineer; someone with some experience supporting a network, has certifications like Cisco’s CCNA or Fortinet’s NSE 4+, or has a home lab set-up to tinker with in their spare time!

You’ll also have some experience in a customer facing or call centre environment and be able showcase your excellent verbal and written communication skills.
