About you

The role of Senior BI Developer is a sole position in the business, so requires an experienced, creative, highly regarded BI professional who is comfortable working with stakeholders across the business to deliver tangible results for the business.
The role

As part of a close-knit IT team, you will manage maintain and evolve a high availability technical platform for Business Intelligence within the Landpower Group of companies. To provide comprehensive analysis and reporting to support forward planning and group strategy by executive staff, senior managers, directors, and retail management.
You will formulate, drive, and deliver the Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Strategy and its ongoing evolution.
You will be responsible for providing the technical development, administration and support of the Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence environment and other associated data repositories and tools.
Skills required
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft BI stack, including SQL, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS
  • Strong End-to-end Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence architecture
  • Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
  • An understanding of Client/server, Web-based and Server-based computing architectures.
  • Understanding of database optimization techniques for tuning data access queries
  • Data analysis - ability to effectively understand business processes and to translate these into data acquisition, translation, and reporting
  • Dimension Modelling and implementation of ETL
  • Be competent in the use of reporting tools including Tableau, Crystal Reports and Cognos
Desirable skills
  • Experience building Tableau Dashboards 
  • Report writing using Crystal Reports
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Handy location close to the motorway, with free onsite parking
