The company:
Are a large organization with branches right across New Zealand, with a strong brand and solid reputation in their field. They have experienced year on year growth, and considerable expansion since COVID-19. They have several key technology projects ahead to help evolve the business and support this growth. Their management team are motivated to explore how to best leverage modern tools and technologies that will contribute to building an exciting and modern business.

The role:
Is directly responsible for the modernisation, configuration, and re-architecture of the company’s Microsoft environment, which is based on Dynamics CRM, Great Plains, and Microsoft 365 suite.

Day to day, you will be identifying implementation and design areas which are at odds with modern best practices and reworking them to improve system structure and quality. You’ll also own the system implementation standards and be a part of the company’s IT governance committee.

This role will ideally be based in the Dunedin headquarters, but we’re also considering candidates based in any of their New Zealand main centre offices.

To be successful:
You will have worked for 4-5 years in a consulting company or in-house for a large organisation, working directly with:
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Great Plains (or other hosted financial system)
  • Microsoft Power Platform
You’re known as someone who has a keen interest in exploring complex software applications at the architecture level and the desire to push these applications to their maximum capability eliminating technical debt.

Additionally, you’ll also be able to showcase evidence of your experiences improving Microsoft platforms and understands what “best practice” looks like - this means evidence of Solution Design of CRM and ERP, and enhancement or re-engineering of these solutions.
